Lîla deals with the topic and the idea of improvisation, which contributes to the discovery and expression of emotions and subconscious desires.

Improvisation contributes to the challenge of finding different ways to physically express, decipherment and interpret the messages we receive every day. More specifically, Lîla is consisted of eight different videos that present the performances of eleven individuals who are invited to a freedom of expression and interaction with the environment, objects and themselves are presented. Through this process, the individuals, having erased their existing memory and memories, instinctively act as if they were just born into a new world with new facts.

My aim is to capture the way the people process this new data and the way they explore the environment, themselves and their imaginations. Without rules and logic, they bring out a raw side of themselves, a side they consciously or unconsciously hide throughout their lives. They create and destroy, enjoy and feel the pleasure of the moment. They examine objects and their original selves without filters, censorship or processing of the flow of memories or ideas, with enthusiasm and spontaneity. They present a free play to themselves and the audience.

Also, in this project, topics such as the relationship with the self and childhood, the self-examination of this relationship and the exploration of the inner world through the use of improvisation and free expression are approached.

For the presentation of this particular topic, I wanted to create a meditative environment for the people involved in the project. For this reason I chose to create an installation by projecting the eight videos on four different screens and two projectors, preserving their integrity. I chose to present these videos on small screens, aiming to include the audience in the position of an observer, as they would observe the short stories of individuals from the windows of an urban space. This space looks like abandoned and alive at the same time.
