About:
Kanella is a photographer and audiovisual artist born in Tripoli (GR), and based in Berlin (DE). She studied Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica (BA). As a member of ASTRO, a creative and research collective, she contributes as an artist engaging in research on how ‘belonging’ unfolds multiple spaces, resisting static narratives of identity and home. Kanella uses photography, video, and graphic design as her main artistic mediums and she works as a freelancer within these fields. Since 2025, she is a member of LAKE Studios Berlin, providing production support, videography, tech & maintenance.

2023 - 2024
Performance with Krista Papista for her latest performance piece "Fucklore: Bellringers". The performance took place in festivals and spaces such as Pop-Kultur Berlin and Slavs and Tatars in Berlin, Agorafoviko festival and Krama festival in Athens, Fuchsbau festival in Hannover, Hotwheels in UK, Mesto Žensk festival in Ljubljana, Atelier 210 in Brussels, Rib gallery in Rotterdam.
